Hold Down to Flush dives into the often-neglected world of bar and restaurant restrooms. This series changes the focus of a bathroom from a tool to a subject of exploration.

HDTF challenges the insignificance of bathrooms within the greater context of our lives. By revealing the interplay between colors, materials, and architecture surrounding a toilet we become aware of the refuge and relief that these spaces can provide.

From a conversation heard underneath the bathroom stall to a (hopefully) used sink, these retreats leave echoes of our shared humanity. Hold Down To Flush is a series that aims to foster a greater appreciation for the unnoticed.
